Ten Outstanding Young Omahans (TOYO) honors individuals between the ages of 21 and 40 who show exemplary commitment to improving the community through selfless acts of kindness while excelling in their professional careers. For 88 years, the Omaha Jaycees have highlighted incredible individuals in Greater Omaha. Our amazing fellow Omahans have gone on to be recognized at the National and International levels, all for their work here in our community! The unique vetting process focuses on reviewing peer-nominated individuals under the age of 40, who are currently residing and working in Omaha and the connected suburban areas (Bellevue, Gretna, Papillion, Etc.) There are no specific industries or areas of impact that are required, rather the holistic nature of the individual and the value of their contributions as reviewed in the vetting process. Our team and group of judges will review hundreds of applicants annually, only be able to honor Ten Outstanding Omahans at this annual banquet!Additionally, our judging panel selects one individual out of the ten whom will receive a monetary grant to support the charity of their choosing. The amount of the grant fluctuates annually as the grant is directly driven by the support of our community partners and attendance to this event.
