Hometown Holidays

Since 2005 the Jaycees have partnered with local businesses Village Pointe Shopping Center, Scooters Coffee, and Paradise Bakery for our Hometown Holidays donation drive benefiting children associated with the Nebraska Children’s Home Society. The Omaha Jaycees set up Christmas trees, decorated with ornaments, at local businesses in Omaha. Each ornament card represents a child in need. The card contains a child’s gift wishes, which patrons can use as a guide to purchase gifts for the child, and instructions on where to drop-off gifts. We appreciate your continued support and hope that you’ll once sponsor an Omaha child in need of some Christmas love and cheer!

Beer & Bacon Festival

Beer & Bacon Festival enters its 7th year in 2019, acting as a social fundraiser to support the mission of the Omaha Jaycees. The Jaycees are Omaha’s longest standing young professional group and positively impact the community in a variety of ways. The proceeds from the festival allow for the Jaycees to continue to do good work and a portion feeds into a grant which is offered to non-profits in Omaha in need of funding to apply for. The event also doubles as a food competition, in conjunction with the World Food Championships, acting as Nebraska’s automatic qualifying event in the ‘Bacon Division’ for the international competition held annually in November and televised on the Food Network.
