The Omaha Jaycees is made up of a group of top-notch young professionals who are well-respected among their peers, in their careers and throughout their communities. Our members vary in age, race, background and profession, so you never know who you will meet and how they will enrich your life.

Personal and professional growth

The Omaha Jaycees are committed to improving the personal and professional lives of its members though community service, education, leadership opportunities, networking and friendship. The Omaha Jaycees Individual Development team offers our members speaker sessions, training events, community service opportunities, career enhancement, management skill development, leadership roles and many other tools to achieve personal and professional growth. Community Involvement

The Omaha Jaycees strive to improve the community we live in through service projects that reach virtually all aspects of the Omaha metro area. Community service is a great way to help others as well as meet new people and develop outstanding leadership skills. Networking

As a member of the Omaha Jaycees, you are introduced into many opportunities to meet other young professionals in the Omaha metro area. We currently have over 200 members, making us one of the largest Jaycee chapters in the U.S. You can talk shop, exchange ideas and share tips for success.

Fun

Many members of the Omaha Jaycees have built life-long friendships through their involvement in the organization. We offer a unique mix of social activities; not only do we work hard – we play hard too. Social events range have included monthly happy hours, game nights, a hayrack ride and organized seasonal “socials.” Friendship and fun is a major perk of an Omaha Jaycees membership!

FAC (Friday Afternoon Club):

The Omaha Jaycees gather monthly for Friday Afternoon Club, a fun happy hour held on the last Friday of each month. FACs are a great way to get to know fellow members as we check out a new bar or visit one of Omaha’s longtime favorite watering holes. It’s a casual way to relax after a hard week at the office!

Quarterly Socials:

Four times a year, the Omaha Jaycees thank their dedicated members with a free social activity. Non-Jaycee guests are welcome for a $10 fee.

Spring: St Patrick's Day Pub Crawl – Don your favorite green attire and check out the finest Irish bars in Omaha.

Summer: Luau – Grab your favorite hula skirt and get ready to limbo, play sand volleyball and even master a keg stand. Missing college? Relive those crazy days at our luau.

Fall: Hayrack Ride – Hot dogs. A bonfire. Hay. What better way to celebrate the turning leaves of fall? Our fall Hayrack Ride is a huge hit among members. Caution: watch for flying hay.

Winter: Holiday Lights and Bar Tour – Celebrate the season with the Omaha Jaycees on the Holiday Lights and Bar Tour where we will be viewing all of the best holiday lights in Omaha and stopping at a few drinking establishments along the way to spread our holiday cheer

New Member Socials:

New member socials are a terrific way to welcome our newest members. Previous activities include miniature golf, bowling, an Omaha Beef game, an Omaha Royals game and a night at the casino.

Membership Projects

New Member Orientation:

New members are invited to arrive at our monthly General Membership Meeting at 5:30, a half-hour early. Orientation gatherings help new members learn more about the Omaha Jaycees as well as answer any questions they might have regarding the organization.

Membership fees are $65 for new and returning members. Early renewals are $60.
